We now have more details on the new Hyundai, the 2014 Avante which has been released in South Korea. Around two weeks ago we had the opportunity to see for the first time the first and last teaser revealed by the carmaker and today we have the real thing. The new Avante is actually a facelift version of the Elantra and it comes with a refreshed design and improved product elements. The new model comes with newly-designed front bumper, radiator grille, fog lamps as well as LED light guide and projection headlamps for a dynamic high-tech feel to the Elantra. If we take a look from the side, we have the opportunity to see the redesigned 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels and chrome belt line molding accentuate the premium image.
In terms of interior, the specialists have offered new elements this way improving usability, reflecting feedback from customers of the previous Elantra model. Also, the center air vent position has been moved upward on the dash, while the front center armrest position was also raised. Now, the facelift version also comes with equipped with high-tech convenience elements like advanced Smart Parking Assist System and flex steer. The engineers have offered a diesel engine variant to the model line-up. We are talking about a 1.6-liter diesel that is capable of delivering fuel economy of 5.4 liters per 100 km. This also has 94 kW and 279 Nm of torque as output. According to the company, the new version model, the 2014 Hyundai Avante (Elantra) will be available for sale on the local market starting the 4th quarter of this year.
