The main targets of Hyundai are to realize the dream of mankind by creating a new future through ingenious thinking and also to challenge new frontiers. The latest task they accomplished on their way to reach the already mentioned goals is the 2014 Hyundai i10 which has just had its official debut at Frankfurt. The new i10 generation is an important step forward for the company and it will surely ensure a leader position in the A-segment for the brand.
The 2014 Hyundai i10 has a quite modern design with a front fascia that contains sweptback headlights and a prominent air intake. The set of wheels can be customizable, varying in size from 13 to 15 inch. The hatchback is 80 mm longer, 65 mm wider and 40 mm lower than the previous version of the model. The wheelbase is also bigger by 5 mm, now having 2385 mm. This provides both the front and back passengers with more leg room. The back of the car offers more luggage room. This has been increased to 252 liters. These features make the i10 the car with the best cargo space and leg room in its class.
The interior of the 2014 Hyundai i10 received much attention from the producer and this is mirrored in the updated design and the high quality materials used. The highest variants are equipped with power windows / locks, automatic climate control and heated front seats. The cargo capacity is 1046 liters (36.9 cubic feet) when the rear seats are folded. The engines powering the i10 in Europe will be a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol producing 66 HP (48 kW) and 94 Nm (69 lb-ft) of torque, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder bi-fuel outputting 67 HP (49 kW) and 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) of torque (on LPG) and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol with 87 HP (64 kW) and 120 Nm (88 lb-ft) of torque. The engines can come mated either to a five-speed manual gearbox or to a four-speed automatic one. So, the Europeans are the ones who will decide upon the new generation i10’s success.
