Asian carmaker Kia developed a new model the 2014 Kia Sorento. This improved model now features a new front fascia and of course new redesigned alloy wheels. The rear end looks also better. Just like the current Sorento, the carmaker will offer its crossover in both 5- and 7-passenger configurations. In terms of interior, the engineers have offered high quality materials and an improved design. The model will be available for purchase starting later this year in most markets.
Back in 2009, the Sorento was first introduced and ever since managed to sell 620.000 units all around the globe. Now, the Korean carmaker managed to find 130.000 North American customers and so, the model became the best-selling Kia model in the US for the second year in a row. The most obvious highlights of the new 2014 Kia Sorento include enhanced power-trains, a re-designed body-shell, improved ride, handling and refinement, safety features and additional convenience and it features new looks both for the interior and exterior.
The fuel consumption was reduced and so were the CO2 emissions. To be more precise, the 2014 Kia Sorento features a new tailgate that have LED rear combination lamps, new headlamps with LED positioning lights, a larger area of body-color surfaces and new bumpers with vertical-axis fog lights. The model also features an expanded choice of wheels to include larger diameter 19-inch alloy wheels. For the interior, the carmaker offered a new LCD instrument cluster and more soft-touch surfaces, a new center stack with 7-inch display screen. The list of new elements continues with straight-gate selector with a leather-booted lever for the models that send the output to the wheels through automatic gearboxes. All these offer a more luxurious character.
