Kia has revealed the 2014 Sportage.
The car is available in three trims, EX, SX and LX. The exterior features a redesigned grille, a high belt line, and accentuated wheel flares, as well as LED tail lights and HID headlamps. The EX trim also features new fog lamps.
The manufacturer has proven to be attentive to both the driver`s and the passenger`s comfort. Now, the auto features a standard tilt and telescopic steering column for all trims as well as standard performance designed dampers. Previously, the high performance dampers were only available for the EX and SX trims. The EX trim brings standard goodies such as heated front seats and heated outside mirrors. The passenger can have a comfy ride now, due to the rear ventilation and reclining outboard seats feature.
The Premium package comes with features like smart key with push button start, leather trimmed seats, power folding outside mirrors and a panoramic sun roof. Concerning connectivity the auto offers UVO technology. UVO is an abbreviation for `your voice` and revolves around the voice recognition technology. UVO provides a comfortable safer driving experience, as music and mobile telephone operations are voice controlled therefore the driver can focus on the road. Also, the UVO system enables smartphone connectivity to the internet.
To enhance safety, the vehicle comes with auto headlamp system, a rear camera display and back up warning system.
The 2014 Kia Sportage is powered by a 2.4 liter four cylinder GDI engine. The engine is mated with a six speed automatic gearbox and brings 135 kW (182 bhp) and 239 Nm (177 lb-ft ) peak of torque. The carbon emissions values are of 21 miles per gallon while driving in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
