Land Rove Range Rover available in the US

United States customers can now place their orders for one of the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover which is now available with a choice of two supercharged engines. Its predecessor, the 2013 variant has a lot of success and the 2014 one will try to follow its steps. Future owners will receive their models this summer when deliveries are scheduled to begin. The engines available are a 3.0-liter 340 horsepower supercharged V6 engine with improved efficiency, reduced emissions and uncompromised capability and the other one is a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged capable of generating 510 horsepower. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds.

The 2014 Range Rover model will also come with a new Intelligent Stop / Start system. This actually reduces emissions and saves fuel. To transfer the output to the wheels the engineers have provided an 8-speed ZF 8HP70 transmission. We first had the opportunity to hear about it in the 2013 model. The specialists have decided on this one to reduce the overall weight of the mode. The 2013 variant was 700 lbs less than the previous generation. The engine has been engineered to support extreme off-rod tilt angles up to 45 degrees and other capabilities. The V6 has a lightweight die-cast aluminum block supplemented with cross-bolted main bearing caps for strength.

The valve are being controlled by a dual independent variable cam timing system that is activated by the positive and negative torque generated by the movement of the intake and exhaust valves. A new Bosch engine management system controls all engine functions. When coupled to a high-strength yet lightweight all-aluminum structure this new power train further builds on the efficiency gains of the new 2014 model. These are all the details we have for you so far, for now.
