Founded in 1980 and launched in 1989, Lexus soon became a well known brand associated with quality, luxury and superior customer satisfaction. The brand reputation grew fast until Lexus became America's best-selling line of luxury motor vehicles. Lexus belongs to the global Toyota family, whose members together constitute the world's third-leading automaker. Everything they do, they try to do it perfect. The same thing happens to the 2014 Lexus IS C.
The Lexus IS C comes in two models for 2014, the IS 250 C and the IS 350C. The first one is able to produce 240 hp (150kW) from a 2.5 liter V6 engine. The second one is powered by a more powerful 3.5 liter V6 engine generating 306 hp (225 kW). The two engines are linked to a six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The IS C is a pretty nice exemplary. It perfectly combines the worlds of a coupe and a convertible. In just 20 seconds, the vehicle turns from a coupe into a convertible, the three-panel aluminum roof being quickly lowered once the driver has pushed the button.
The Lexus IS C is nicely secured with an acoustic glass windshield and some special materials on the roof and door panels. The vehicle features a F Sport tuned suspension package, 18 inch alloy wheels, a unique interior trim and aerodynamic body elements. All of these provide the IS C with a sporty look. Almost the entire car has been manufactured out of lightweight aluminum, including the retractable top. The vehicle can receive Intuitive Park Assist, if the client asks for such an option. This system announces the driver through a warning light if there is another vehicle in the near proximity. The Lexus Premium Audio System comes installed from the factory. The leather inside the cabin as well as the heated and ventilated seats, complete the image of a luxurious vehicle. Many other optional elements can be placed on the car on request.
