Lotus is a brand with a huge history in the world of cars. The company has always raised standards to upper levels. The brand’s sixty years of history and innovation were the key of success on the road but on the track, too. At the present, Lotus is an expert in lightweight architecture and this allowed it to become a leader in green vehicle technology. The Lotus Exige LF1, the last of their productions, has been officially presented.
The Lotus Exige LF1 is inspired by the Exige S model of the same company. The vehicle has been manufactured to emphasize the carmaker’s 2014 season in Formula 1. The supercar is powered by a supercharged 3.6-liter V6 engine, the same powering unit of the Exige LF1. It generates 345 hp (350 PS) at 7,000 rpm and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque at 4,500 rpm. Because of a weight of just 1,176 kg, the Lotus Exige LF1 can sprint the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) distance in 4.0 seconds and it can hit a maximum speed of 170 mph (264 km/h).
The distinguishing elements on the Lotus Exige LF1 are a black and gold livery with red accents, and different badges. On the inside, the LF1 Exige received leather upholstery and some logos. The Lotus Exige LF1's options include Matt gold 5-spoke 17 and 18-inch cast alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo rubbers, high performance brake discs with red calipers, a carbon fiber engine plate and the Race Pack. The Exige LF1 can also be equipped with the Convenience Pack, heated seats and rear parking sensors. Till now, there is no information about the vehicle’s price.
