Maserati Quattroporte

It seems that Maserati will introduce a new model in January 2013 at the Motor Show that will take place in Detroit. We are talking about the Maserati Quattroporte, which is a bit longer and lighter in comparison with the current model found on the market. According to the carmaker, it will measure 5200 mm and could be have as base a new steel monocoque chassis. The wheelbase will be the one modified the most which only means more legroom for the passengers that stay at the back. The engineers said it will weight 1940 kg only, and this is because they have used a lot of aluminum. It is lighter despite the fact that it is larger in comparison with the current model. This is not all. The new 2014 Maserati Quattroporte will be available with the all-wheel drive option, but only a year after the RWD model is released.

At launch, the 2014 Quattroporte will be powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine developed by Ferrari capable of producing 453 horsepower. To transfer all this power to the wheels, the engineers have offered a ZF automatic transmission which will enable the model to produce low CO2 emissions. There is no way of knowing for sure, but the carmaker is considering offering it with additional supercharged and turbocharged V6 and V8 gasoline. The styling of the new Maserati Quattroporte will be a bit different and also the specialists have offered different elements to make it look more masculine. Inside the cabin we can see a lot of new features that improve it by offering a more luxurious feel. A big central touch screen display will help the driver control the car easier.

Maserati Quattroporte price :

Nothing is for sure yet, but the carmaker might sell its new 2014 Maserati Quattroporte for a starting price of around GBP 80.000 which can go up to GBP 120.000 for the model equipped with everything it can carry.
