According to the carmaker, when the all-new Mazda3 will go on sale in the UK later his year, the model line-up will include two body styles again. We are talking about the hatchback and saloon models. The best seller now gets the full range of lightweight SKYACTIV technology, which has been optimized together with the latest adaptation of the KODO Soul of Motion design language, so that it suits the smaller C-segment when it comes to size and agility. The all-new model comes with a firm stance enhanced by the compact looking cab rewarded design. Both the saloon and the hatchback have a 2.700 mm wheelbase, which means it is the longest in the C-Segment and 60 mm longer than the current Mazda3.
The designers were able to shorten the front and rear overhangs for a more powerful KODO-inspired stance, in the process creating more space for the engine. This way the safety elements of the model have been improved as well. The carmaker informed us that both body styles are 40 mm wider and 15 mm lower than the current model. The saloon also comes with a different roof, rear window, rear wings and boot lid in a design which extends the overall length by 120 mm to 4.580 mm. Both modelshave rear seat backrests which fold almost flat and the boot of the saloon is increased by 100 mm to 1.102 mm. So now, it can accommodate three 67 cm suitcases and has a total capacity of 419 liters.
There is a 1.5-liter petrol engine that has a fuel consumption of 56.4 mpg and the CO2 emission level reaches 118 g/km. The 2.0-liter petrol engine is available in standard and high power versions. The fuel consumption reaches 55.3 mpg and the CO2 emission level will reach 119 g/km. This is all for the moment on the matter.
