The fact that Mercedes- Benz is a huge company with a fabulous history is not news for a long time now. We can find Mercedes branded vehicles in any segment of the auto field. They build spectacular sports cars, luxurious sedans, useful SUVs, efficient hybrids etc. And news don’t stop coming from Germany. Either they reveal new models or do updates to the existing ones, Mercedes cars keep the front cover of specialized magazines. One of their recent projects is a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 which has just been introduced.
The coming of the Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 is just in time to welcome the winter season. Specially created to face snowy conditions and difficult terrain, the van is based on an all-wheel drive system that can be easily activated by the press of a button. The Sprinter has an electronic traction system that automatically offers spinning wheels so that a better traction is provided. As if this wasn’t enough, the van can also be equipped with off-road tires, Hill-Start Assist and an optional low range. Despite all these, Mercedes does not want to transform the model into an off-roader.
The Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 is powered by three different engine types. First, it can come with a 2.1-liter four-cylinder unit producing 129 HP (95 kW) and 305 Nm (225 lb-ft) of torque. Another option is the 2.1-liter four-cylinder outputting 163 HP (120 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. The most powerful engine is the 3.0-liter V6 developing 190 HP (139 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque. No matter of the engine, all three of them can be connected to a six-speed manual or an optional five-speed automatic. If you want a reliable vehicle for winter, this van is definitely perfect.
