Mercedes E63 AMG

Here we have the first official picture of the updated 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG, a model scheduled to be released during the Detroit Motor Show this year. This car will be available on the North American market in a 4MATIC version as well.

The Germans have provided a series of new and powerful BlueDIRECT 4-cylinder petrol engines with direct injection technology, a new high-performance, high-torque and also full-efficient 6-cylinder unit. There will be also some very efficient diesel engines. So that you know, all models in the E-Class range are equipped with either new or optimized assistance systems. These offer comfort and safety and to be more precise, we are talking about: Active Lane Keeping Assist which prevents accidents with oncoming traffic and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.

Despite the fact that the equipment and appointments packages have been enhanced, the prices for the E-Class models remain almost at the same level as for their predecessors. According to Mercedes-Benz officials, more than 13 million vehicles were sold in the E-Class segment. Global sales of the E-Class Saloon have reached 11.250.000 units to date. Beside all these, we should also add another 1.180.000 Estates, around 370.000 Coupes, 240.000 CLS and 100.000 Cabriolets. Since its market launch in 2009, the Saloon model has been the car of choice for more than 600.000 clients. Over the year, the carmaker managed to win a lot of awards thanks to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG might be powered by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine capable of generating 550 horsepower and 719 Nm of torque.

The world premiere of the new E-Class will take place on the 14th of January at the Auto Show that will take place in Detroit, just as mentioned above. These are all the details released so far by the manufacturer on the matter.
