Mercedes S Class by Brabus

Mercedes means perfection for a lot of persons. So in these terms to come up with an upgrade is the ultimate challenge for tuning companies. And speaking about tuning, there is no other company more preoccupied by Mercedes cars than Brabus. When a Mercedes-Benz is modified by Brabus you expect the unexpected. This time the high performance tuning company has chosen to work on the new generation Mercedes S Class.

The Mercedes S Class is transformed by Brabus into a faster vehicle. The company does this by upgrading the V8 engine in such a way that now it is capable of producing 537 kW / 730 hp (720 bhp) and 1,065 Nm (785 lb-ft) of torque. Doing a calculus, this means it can reach a 325 km/h (202 mph) maximum speed. In addition, the 4.7 liter engine can get the Brabus B50- 520 PowerXtra CGI performance kit which add some extra 65 hp. This way the engine produces 520 hp (512 bhp) and 820 Nm (604 lb-ft) of torque. With this pack, the new Mercedes S500 (2014) can get from stand to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds in its way to a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). Brabus offers more upgrade level when it comes to engine performance. Each customer can choose how furious his car should become.

As it can be seen, Brabus has done a great work regarding the different engine upgrade levels. But despite this the tuner took care of adding some goodies to the tuning pack. So, a new exhaust system with butterfly valves and an aerodynamically improved body kit have been set on the 2014 Mercedes S Class. The set of wheels also remains at the client’s choice. They can have different sizes, 19, 20 or 21 inch. The vehicle can also be equipped with a lowering suspension system that brings the car 15 mm closer to the ground. The price of this awesome tuning program has not been made public yet.
