Germans from Mercedes-Benz have decided to release some new information on the recently unveiled 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class. According to the carmaker, the model has a starting price of GBP62.650 on the road on the UK market. The S-Class was always capable of offering increased technology standards, pioneering safety, comfort and engineering elements like ABS, anti-lock brakes, SRS airbag, ESP, Night View Assist and catalytic converters.
The specialists continue to raise the benchmark in efficiency, comfort, refinement and personalization with the S-Class. There are three engine variants for the line, petrol, a diesel and a petrol hybrid. To be more precise we are talking about the S350 BlueTEC, S400 Hybrid and S500. There are also two trim variants of SE Line and AMG Line, but also the standard and long wheelbase options. The UK production will begin in September and deliveries will begin in October. The ones interested should know that the new S-Class offers up to a 9 % increase in power over the outgoing W 221 model, 18 % reduction in CO2 and 22 % improvement in fuel consumption. In terms of equipment, the model comes as standard with a reversing camera, COMAND Online NTG 5, full LED Intelligent Light System, DAB digital radio and Keyless Start.
The list continues with Magic Vision Control, enhanced AirMATIC full air suspension system with continuously adaptive damping control delivering a composed ride while retaining the ability to lower at speed or rise by 30 mm. The Magic Vision Control comes as an option on the S500 and costs GBP4.340 and it scans the road up to 15 meters ahead, allowing it to model a precise image of the road surface.
