After a lot of wait, Germans from Mercedes-Benz have revealed the C-Class. The model is now 95 mm longer, 40 mm wider in comparison to its predecessor, but it keeps the same height of 1.442 mm. The wheelbase is 80 mm longer and measures 2840 mm in length. The luggage compartment measures 480 liters now. In terms of design, the specialists did not change a lot in comparison to the E-Class facelift and the all-new S-Class, but in the end it does look a lot more premium in comparison to the outgoing model and we are sure you agree to this one.
The new 2014 model will have a lot of admirers, especially young ones as it looks this modern. In terms of interior, the model comes with more premium materials and a wraparound dashboard with three circular air vents. As optional the specialists offer a touchpad which has almost the same functionality as a smart phone. At launch, the model will come equipped with a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel capable of generating 170 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This output enables the model to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.1 seconds. In terms of fuel consumption, the engineers have obtained 4 liters per 100 km and the CO2 emission level comes to 103 g/km.
Another option will be a 1.6-liter gasoline with 156 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque output which enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.2 seconds. Next we have a 2.0-liter with 184 horsepower and 300 nm of torque output. In terms of transmissions, the model might get a newly developed 6-speed manual transmission of a 7G-TRONIC PLUS 7-speed automatic one. The price might start at EUR38.675.
