Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG by Edo Competition

If we were to rate the most tuned brands in the world, Mercedes-Benz would certainly have a well deserved place in the top. Mercedes models seem to be very liked by the tuning companies since there are an unlimited number of tuning programs based on them. It is time for Edo Competition to reveal the latest project that is a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG widebody kit.

The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is certainly a legendary name in the auto field. Although it has a long history behind, it keeps being one of the most appreciated vehicles in its segment, despite the fact that its boxy shape and proper off-road capabilities haven’t changed a lot since the car was manufactured. All the rumours lead to the fact that a new generation of the G-Class will come out in 2016. But till then, we might enjoy the tuning programs available for the vehicle, which are plenty.

Edo Competition equipped the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG with ventilated/perforated disc brakes working with six-piston monoblock fixed calipers and sports brake pads, as well as a bespoke sports exhaust system featuring valve control and sports catalysts. The inside has not been forgotten. It received two-tone red and black leather upholstery with diamond stitching.

Edo Competition also set their attention on the V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine powering the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. The unit benefits of a remapped ECU which together with the exhaust system have increased output from 544 PS (400 kW) to 660 PS (485 kW) and torque w from 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) to 900 Nm (664 lb-ft).  It seems like a well thought project that refreshes the good old G63.
