Most of the people can truly believe that a Mercedes-Benz almost touches perfection. To improve a Mercedes version can be quite a challenge in these terms but for Brabus, the official tuning company of the German brand, this is daily work. Their latest project is bringing back to life the long gone Mercedes G-Class. We are talking here about the short wheelbase three-door vehicle.
Mercedes Benz gave up manufacturing the G-Class back in 2011. This wasn’t an inconvenience for Brabus so they picked the car and brought some modifications to it. The vehicle used by Brabus is one of the last short wheelbase G-Class units ever manufactured. The oldie but goldie received a brand new set of massive 22 inch nine-spoke Monoblock E alloy wheels.
The Mercedes Benz G-Class received the Brabus widestar body kit treatment. The new body elements make the car look more aggressive. The opulent red and black leather interior complete an incredible picture of the SUV. There’s no word about the engine. However the "6.1" numbering can only mean that the displacement of the V8 unit has been raised from 5.5 to 6.1 which has certainly offered a serious power boost compared to the stock 388 HP (285 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft). In conclusion, we have here a combination of tradition and imagination that offer the G-Class a new image.
