Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe by IMSA

Together with the explosive developing of the car manufacturing world, some other branches in the auto field have developed. One of them is the tuning segment which created a great competition between tuning companies, each of them choosing classy vehicles to work on and show their skills. IMSA is a tuning firm coming from Germany and their latest project is based on a German car, the Mercedes Benz S63 AMG Coupe.

IMSA took care of improving the power capacities of the Mercedes Benz S63 AMG Coupe. The V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine has suffered some software tweaks and received new sports air filters, modified x-cross central muffler for the exhaust as well as optimized turbocharged outlet, intercooler radiator and an improved air flow rate.

Thanks to the engine upgrades, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe reaches from the stock 585 HP (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) to 720 HP (529 kW) and a maximum torque of 1,080 Nm (796 lb-ft). Performance details have not been made public until now but it must be a lot faster than the standard vehicle which needs 3.9 seconds to get to 62 mph (100 km/h) and is electronically-limited at 155 mph (250 km/h). Besides upgrading the engine, IMSA also equipped the vehicle with a new set of 21-inch forged lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in 255/35 R21 front and 295/30 R21 rear tires. The tuning company promises to come back with more upgrades for Mercedes branded vehicles, especially for the ones wearing the AMG badge.
