The Germans rule when it comes down to the auto industry. A German brand is more than enough when talking about perfection. But if we have two German companies that somehow meet together, we’ve got double trouble. This is the case with the German tuning company Voltage Design that has developed an upgrading kit for the German sedan Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG.
The Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG is equipped with a carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit priced at €24,900 which includes front spoiler, front apron wings, side skirts, mirror caps, roof spoiler and diffuser, but it doesn't contain the hood which costs some extra €3,000. The vehicle gets a carbon ceramic braking system that costs €14,850 with 420mm discs at the front and 370mm discs at the back bringing weight savings of 30 kg (66 lbs) compared to the standard brakes. The sedan can also receive 21-inch front and rear alloy wheels.
Voltage Design also created a two-stage power kit. At first, the twin-turbo V12 6.0-liter engine which in its stock configuration generates 630 HP (463 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft), is tuned to produce 680 HP (500 kW) while the top speed limiter is raised from 155 mph (250 km/h) to 186 mph (300 km/h). This first stage costs €3,899. The second stage is priced at €7,899 and offers a spectacular 720 HP (529 kW) and 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) which will enable the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG to reach 199 mph (320 km/h). Both power kits come together with racing air filters, custom downpipes and unlockable top speed module.
