Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition in L.A.

At the 2013 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show, Germans from Mercedes-Benz have released the 2014 SLS AMG GT Final Edition. According to the carmaker, the SLS model will be available for sale as a limited edition. Only 350 units will be built. All of them will receive power from an AMG V8 6.3-liter front-mid engine capable of generating 591 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. This output will enable the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 11.2 seconds and to reach a top speed of 124 mph. It seems that the top speed is now being limited to 199 mph. The units will be sold in different versions, coupe and roadster and according to the specialists both models will come with a carbon fibre hood with a central air outlet.

This is not all there is also a splitter for the front apron which is made of lightweight material and a fixed carbon fibre rear aerofoil, like, for example the Black series. To transfer the output to the road the engineers have offered an AMG forged light-alloy wheels available with two finishes which will measure 19-inch at the front axle and the rear one will measure 20-inch. One special thing about this particular model is the AMGFINAL Edition-1 of 350 badges on the carbon-fibre centre console. Here is also the AMG Performance steering wheel in Alcantara with high gloss black rear Metal insert that goes perfectly with the high-gloss black surrounds on the air vents. The ones interested in the model will be able to see it in March 2014.

In terms of pricing we have here some potential prices that vary between EUR 225.505 for the SLSAMG GT Coupe FINAL EDITION and EUR 233.835 for the SLS AMG GT Roadster FINAL EDITION. This model is meant to be a classic for the future, according to the carmaker.
