Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution III for Pikes Peak

Carmaker Mitsubishi have decided to show us what they have been working in the last few months so hard. Their specialists have revealed the MiEV Evolution III just before the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The model was in fact designed to compete in the Electric Modified Division which is a real improvement in comparison to the MiEV Evolution II. This last one was able to produce a combined output of 536 BHP and it came equipped with Super All-Wheel Control and Active Yaw Control. Its electric motors are powered by a next-generation 50 kWh lithium-ion battery equipped with carbon fiber reinforced polymer construction and a new cooling system which was lighter and even more efficient that the one used in the previous model.

The MieV Evolution III features a lot of changes looking into reducing the weight and improves cornering performance. Most visible changes include a new carbon fiber cowl, a specialized spoiler, larger tires and also an up to date Super All Wheel Control system which comes in very handy in terms of reducing wheel slippage and increasing traction. The 4 electric motors the model has produce a combined output of 603 BHP. The proud drivers who will try to lead the card to victory are Greg Tracy and Hiroshi Masuoka.
