According to Mitsubishi Motors North America made a great announcement for the North American potential customers. According to them, the all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage 5-door sub-compact, which is the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid vehicle powered by a gasoline unit in America, will have a starting price of $12.995 The EPA rated fuel economy was established at 44 mpg on the highway for the models equipped with the continuously variable transmission. In the city the fuel consumption reaches 37 mpg and 40 mpg on a combined cycle, and here we are in fact talking about the models equipped with the CVT.
The models equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission are capable of reaching 34 mpg in the city, 42 mpg on the highway and 37 mpg on a combined cycle. The factors that influence the great fuel efficiency are the clean exterior with the very low 0.28 drag coefficient, an engine equipped with the Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control variable valve-timing system and Electronic Power Steering. All models will be equipped with a comprehensive list of advanced safety elements that include a 7-air bag Supplemental Restraint System Active Stability Control with Traction Control Logic, the Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution impact-absorbing safety cell technology and a lot more.
The Mirage DE model includes automatic climate control, keyless entry with panic alarm, auto-off halogen headlights, rear heater floor ducts and the list goes on. For extra $1.200, the 2014 Mirage ES includes all of the standard elements from the DE trim level but with the addition of One-Touch Start / Stop engine switch, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, steering wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls. To transfer all the output to the road, the engineers have offered 14-inch alloy wheels. The price for the fully equipped model can go up to $16.095.
