Nissan GT-R Nismo

Any Nissan car is considered an important symbol of freedom, status and personal achievement. The Japanese company always keeps thinking of different ways to delight as many persons as possible. With their cars the power comes from the inside. The latest news coming from the brand is a special 2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo. And the word “special” truly defines the vehicle. It has just been revealed.

Nismo started working on the Nissan GT-R with the thought of turning it into the fastest accelerating production car in the world. Well, when first hearing this, one should probably think it is impossible to beat supercars such as the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport or the Ariel Atom 500. But reflecting a while at the Japanese company’s performances during its history, nothing is impossible. Nismo managed to increase the output of the V6 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine to 600 HP (441 kW) and 652 Nm (481 lb-ft) of torque. The extra power is obtained thanks to some new high-flow turbochargers with a larger diameter which were inspired from the GT3-spec car. The specialists at Nismo optimized the ignition timing control for each of the six cylinders and they also improved the fuel pump combustion.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo features new springs and custom Bilstein dampers at the front and rear suspension which have been upgraded such as to provide the supercar with better grip and handling. The driver will have the chance of selecting from one of the three suspension modes: Comfort, Normal and R. The last one is specially developed for track use. As a respectable car that it is, the Nismo GT-R gets new wheels. It rides on unique Dunlop rubbers sized 255/40 ZRF20 front and 285/35 ZRF20 rear and benefits from a hollow rear anti-roll bar.

Nismo also provided the GT-R with a new body kit that transforms it into a more aerodynamic vehicle. It includes a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a wider front bumper and an elongated yet tapered rear bumper. The Nissan GT-R Nismo will come with the four body paint schemes that are the Brilliant White Pearl, the Meteor Flake Pearl Black, the Ultimate Metallic Silver and the Vibrant Red which will be completed by six-spoke black alloy wheels inspired from the firm's GT500 racecar. The red stitching inside the car, on the center console, the seats and door trim, makes the cabin very welcoming. You can also find an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel.  Some Recaro seats with carbon fiber backing are meant to complete the picture.  The Nismo GT-R will enter sales in Japan starting February 2014 and  a few months later the Americans and Europeans will also be able to enjoy it.
