Nissan NV200 London Taxi

The motto that guides the Japanese company Nissan is that the power comes from inside. A vehicle is an interesting symbol of freedom, status and personal achievement. This is exactly why the company keeps thinking of various ways to satisfy as many clients as possible. The latest news coming from the brand is the Nissan NV200 London Taxi. It is supposed to enter production in next December, but the company offers a few details, just enough for us to make a first impression on the vehicle.

The Nissan NV200 London Taxi is not exactly a good-looking vehicle. It is rather a more practical one, for people to use in as many situations as possible. The vehicle has been designed by the same people who have designed the Qashqai and the Juke, both being in the Nissan fleet, as you certainly know. December 2014 should theoretically be the month when the NV200 goes into production. It is rumoured that it will cost around 30,000 GBP.

The Nissan NV200 London Taxi will be powered by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine linked to an automatic gearbox which is supposed to grant the vehicle with a fuel efficiency of 40 mpg UK (33 mpg US or 7 liters / 100 km). The vehicle should remind somehow about the classic British black cab and this is exactly why the Nissan badge is missing from the front grille. It has also got the traditional round headlights. A modern element is the taxi sign, illuminated by LED lights. Modern or conservatory, the Nissan NV200 will be the new generation of taxis in London.
