Japanese carmaker Nissan started selling the Pathfinder less than a year ago, so in November 2012. Now the model is entering the 2014 model year with only a few equipment changes. Here we have to mention the fact that the there is a small increase in price across the range, and the addition of the new hybrid variant that has been introduced back in March in New York. The 2014 model receives power from a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of generating 260 horsepower that comes equipped with a CVT in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive configurations. So that you know, the model comes limited to a added SL Tech Package.
The price was established at $1.570 and comes with a Bose 13-speaker Premium Audio System, Nissan Navigation System, Voice Recognition, NavWeather capability and XM NavTraffic. The list continues with Zagat Survey restaurant Guide, Bluetooth Streaming Audio and also an 8-inch color touch screen monitor to complete the package. In terms of pricing, the entry level S 2 wheel drive remains the same at $28700, but the rest of the range is more expensive without offering new elements. The starting price for the SV 2 wheel drive was increased by $430 to $31.960. The pathfinder Platinum 4 wheel drive has an increased price as well which leaves it to $41.200.
The hybrid comes with a 2.5-liter supercharged engine and an electric motor which together are capable of developing 250 horsepower and a combined fuel economy of 26 mpg US. This will cost around $3.000 over the regular model, but there is nothing for sure yet. In case you are one of the ones interested in purchasing one of these models, please be advised that the destination and handling charge was established at $845.
