Let us introduce you a new model developed by the Japanese manufacturer Nissan. With no further ado, we would like you to meet the new Nissan Versa Note, a new entry in the North American sub-compact category. It will rival model like the American Ford Fiesta and the Chevrolet Sonic hatchbacks as soon as it reaches showrooms later this summer. According to the carmaker, the price was established at $13.990 and it does not include handling and destination charges. This is actually not the first time we see the Versa Note. In fact, the Japanese manufacturer revealed the Japanese Domestic Market version last year in July, but only under the name of Nissan Note. Despite the fact that the Note complements the Versa family, which as a matter of fact includes the entry sedan in America, a model that has a starting price established at $11.990, the hatchback has other characteristics that make it get in the spot light. It has a more distinctive look, but unfortunately it will not be enough to bring any awards.
The car receives power from a 1.6-liter engine capable of generating 109 horsepower and 107 lb. ft. of torque. All this output is being sent to the wheels through either a 5-speed manual transmission or through a new Xtronic CVT. This output enables the cars equipped with the CVT to reach a fuel consumption of 40 mpg on the highway, 31 mpg in the city and35 mpg on a combined cycle. The ones interested in owning one of these models should also know that they are available in four trim grades called S, S Plus and SV. If they want more, there is also the top-of-the-line, the SL packages.
In terms of technology, engineers have provided the Nissan Versa note with Around View Monitor developed by Nissan and the NissanConnectSM with Navigation System. Of course the list continues with other ones.
