For most of the people, the automobile represents a degree of freedom, an expression of personality and the symbol of an individual lifestyle. Sportiness, elegance, avant-gardism or refined luxury, are criteria which large-scale manufacturers are ill equipped to meet. That is where Irmscher's after-market equipment and special series come in. The tuning company usually works on Opel cars, as the brand is its main partner and their recent work is based on the Opel Astra GTC Turbo a 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine.
Irmscher equips the Opel Astra GTC Turbo with new front lip spoiler, an updated front grille and a set of huge 20-inch light alloy wheels fitted with ultra-low profile rubbers. The car also receives wide side skirts, a tailgate-mounted spoiler, a new rear diffuser and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system. The ride height is lowered by 30 mm by some sport springs. This improves not only the stance, but the handling, too.
Inside the Opel Astra GTC Turbo we find brand new premium leather upholstery, new aluminum door pins, a set of aluminum pedals and branded floor mats with Irmscher logo. Irmscher also did some tricks on the engine mentioned before and its power has been increased with 30HP (22kW), reaching a total of 170HP (125kW). Only 100 units will be produced by Irmscher, but all the elements that constitute the tuning program are also available separately.
