Opel Insignia Country Tourer

Opel presented the new Insignia, Insignia Country Tourer and Insignia OPC during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The german manufacturer defines the new models in three dimensions: detailed readouts, ultra modern technology and an overall daring appearance.

The cars feature re-worked rear axle and a new ESP software designed for a precise reaction to understeer tendencies regardless of the road conditions. The vibration and noise level is reduced by the state of the art, fine tuning measures added.

The vehicles are equipped with a six speed manual transmission and all wheel drive and go from 0 to 100 Km/ h in 6.0 seconds (6.3 seconds for the Sports Tourer) with a maximum achievable speed of 250 Km/ h. The consumption is of 10.6 liters per 100 Km and the emissions rate is of 249 g/ Km. The Brembo braking system brings stability and a rapid speed decrease rate even in high speed conditions.

The manufacturer brings a wide range of engines depending on the desired model:

  • A 2.0 SIDI Turbo with 250 HP (184 kW) 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque

  • A 1.4 LPG has 140 HP (103 kW) and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) of torque

  • A 2.8-liter V6 Turbo with 325 HP (239 kW) and 435 Nm (321 lb-ft) of torque

  • A 2.0 CDTI with outputs of 120 HP (88 kW) and 140 HP (103 kW)

  • A 2.0 BiTurbo CDTI with 195 HP (143 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque

  • A 1.4 Turbo with 140 HP (103 kW) and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) of torque

  • A 1.6 SIDI Turbo with 170 HP (125 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque

Drivers can opt for leather Recaro performance seats and an eight inch instrument readout display for more detailed information such as the oil pressure temperature or the battery voltage.
