Peugeot is one of the most famous car manufacturers in the world. It has more than 60 million vehicles sold throughout the Earth. The brand has made a goal in combining excellence and emotion ever since it was created. The company has revealed some details about the 2014 Peugeot 308, a vehicle with a refined design and an innovative cockpit, brought together to bring unique driving sensations.
The 2014 Peugeot 308 has just been spotted near the PSA factory in Sochaux, France. The vehicle has a well improved image compared to the previous model, the look making it more attractive and special. Aerodynamics of the 308 has been improved, the car being shorter and lower that it used to be. It lost 308 lbs (140 kg) in weight, and this means only one thing: that the Peugeot 308 is more economical and releases less CO2 emissions, more exactly only 85 g/ km.
The 2014 Peugeot 308 works on PSA's new EMP2 platform and borrowed a similar steering wheel and heads-up instrument cluster from the little brother, the 208. This new version of the Peugeot 308 has fewer buttons than before, this being possible especially because of a large 9.7-inch touch screen display which some will enjoy, some will dislike. The car is a roomier one because the passengers can now sit and relax into a bigger cabin than before. The trunk is roomier too, being able to support 470 liters. The Peugeot 308 will be officially presented in September, with the occasion of the Frankfurt Motor Show.
