Peugeot RCZ R at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

French carmaker Peugeot will introduce a new model this year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. To be more precise we are talking about the new 2014 Peugeot RCZ R. not long ago we had the opportunity to see the RCZ R concept and now, the carmaker will soon introduce the production version. The concept was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show with a matt black and copper livery that heralds the spiritual stance of a road going model. Under the hood, the RCZ R hides a 1.6-liter THP engine capable of generating 260 BHP, making it the most powerful production model in the history of Peugeot.

The efficiency of the model will be a benchmark with power / capacity among the highest in the world for production vehicles at more than 160 BHP / liter with CO2 emissions targeted at only 155 km/ h. the specialists promise intense dynamic sensations from the legacy of its experiences, with a bespoke suspension and also a specific and distinctive wheel design. The model will be revealed for the first time for the public on the Peugeot stand at the Festival of Speed. At the wheel, UK Peugeot 208 GTi Ambassador Bradley Philpot will show us what he has got. The man is a finalist in the recent Nurburgring 24-hour race.

The model was scheduled for launch before the end of this year and so its first appearance will be timely ahead of that date. The company has a rich history for compact, durable, highly-efficient engines that have powered its products, notably its cars and competition vehicles and it is appropriate that the most powerful road car of the brand, the RCZ R has its international debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that will take place this year. This is all we know for the moment, but more details will emerge soon.
