When two German brands meet together something extraordinary comes out. And we are talking here about the tuning company OK- Chiptuning and the super famous brand Porsche. The world of cars is one that is continuously changing. Car manufacturers become better as time passes, each wanting to be the best and their unique goal is to create the car that gets closer and closer to perfection. And this also holds true for the tuning companies, of course, being the case of OK-Chiptuning too, whose latest project is an aftermarket program for the Porsche 911 GT2.
When it entered sales, the Porsche 911 GT2 came out as a limited edition. Only 500 units have been manufactured. OK- Chiptuning turns this precise model into something more powerful even than the RS version of the Porsche. Its engine develops 680 HP (500 kW) and 880 Nm (649 lb-ft). This makes it 60 HP (44 kW) more powerful than the RS version and 150 HP (110 kW) than the standard GT2 model. This extra power was squeezed with the help of a ECU optimization that is priced at 3,500 EUR. This can be applied to all Porsche 911 GT2 models.
Once the optimization reconfigures the engine’s abilities, the Porsche 911 will do the 62 mph (100 km/h) - 124 mph (200 km/h) run in 5.1 seconds, considerably less than the 7.8 seconds the standard GT2 needs or the 5.9 seconds it takes for the RS version to complete the run. The upgraded 911 GT2 will sprint the 62 mph - 186 mph (100 km/h - 300 km/h) in an impressive 18 seconds which makes it 5 seconds quicker than the GT2 RS. OK- Chiptuning also placed a set of 19 inch OZ Ultraleggera HLT alloy wheels shod in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx rubbers. So, if you want more power for your Porsche, this program is quite convincing.
