Renault has now detailed their Brazil developed Logan. This is the second generation of the Logan and it comes with quite a few modifications compared to the model developed by Dacia.
The Renault Logan had all eyes set on it for a while now and had all types of rumors coming out, speculating on its performances, styling cues etc. Well now, it`s time to see what the vehicle is all about.
Exterior changes are minimal and bring a new design for the taillights as well as a chromed front fascia. The engineers have dropped the circular air vents found in the Dacia Logan and replaced them with rectangular ones. The standard vehicle comes with seat fabrics and an all black dashboard but the more elaborated variants feature a two tone interior accentuated by silver insertions.
Buyers can choose from three trim levels (Expression, Authentique and Dynamique). Since Brazil recently passed a law which makes dual airbags and ABS mandatory starting with January 2014, all variants come with these features as a standard. The optional goodies list for the Expression variant includes a height adjustable steering wheel, rear folding seats, an audio system, AC and an alarm system.
The high-spec. Dynamique variant comes with standard fog lights, rear power windows, electric mirrors and split folding rear sits. Of course, the car can optionally be improves with an additional auto climate control system or a touchscreen navigation system.
On the Brazilian market, the Renault Logan will be available in two engine choices both of which are Flex fuel. The standard 1.0 liter engine outputs 77 HP (57 kW). The alternative is a more powerful 1.6 liter engine that develops 98 HP (73 kW).
The Renault Logan will hit dealerships by the end of November as the cars are already under production for a month now in Pinhais car assembly plant.
