If we did a top of the most spread vehicles around the world we’d notice that these are the German cars. Everywhere we go we bump into Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, Opel or Audi vehicles. So it’s no wonder that the tuning field has these brands as main characters. The market is invaded by tuning programs for these vehicles. Yet, new ones still appear and it seems that tuners never get tired of creating something new for them. It is also the case of MTM, a tuning company which has just came up with a new tuning program for the Skoda Octavia vRS, the model that shares the same platform with the VW.
MTM’s subject was a Skoda Octavia vRS powered by a four-cylinder 2.0-liter TSI which in its standard configuration develops 220 HP (162 kW). The German tuner upgraded the engine to 304 HP (224 kW). Besides this increase in power, this Meteor Grey Octavia vRS liftback also received an Apple Green matte stripe package from Autofolierung Zapp.
A new Skoda Octavia vRS is expected to come in 2015. The car will provide 280 HP (206 kW) from a Volkswagen Golf R borrowed 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine. A quad-pipe exhaust system and a limited slip differential will come with the package. The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint should be made in about 6s and probably the maximum speed will be bigger than the current 154 mph (248 km/h).
