1200HP Weber F1 production version

Apparently, Weber is ready to introduce the production version of the F1. Back in 2008, the specialists have revealed a concept model and this new production version is what followed. The new F1 is the fastest and lightest street legal car in the world ever built by BMW and Sauber Petronas Formula 1 team. Under the hood it hides a V10 engine capable of generating more than 1.200 horsepower and 1.250 Nm of torque and weighs a bit over 1.250 kg. The power produced enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds and to reach a top speed of 400 km/h. It can also accelerate to 300 km/h in 16.2 seconds. to transfer all this output to the road, the engineers have provided sequential WEBER SPORTCARS 6-speed transmission with paddle shift at the steering wheel. The car is very lights as it has a full carbon fiber chassis and also a monocoque body. For those of you who do not know, the first prototype was revealed back in 2007.

Before being launched, the new F1 was tested a lot and now, it turns out it is ready to do some serious damage, and in the good way of course, as it is scheduled to be launched in April, this year. The engineers have also improved the drive shaft for increased durability as well as drivability of the car. Webber has taken the time to produce a few components of the Kinetic Energy Recovery System which are being used in Formula 1. This new technology will be used on the new Weber F1 to launch the strongest Hybrid car ever built. According to different sources, the model will manage to produce more than 1.600 horsepower. If this is going to happen, the whole sports car industry will reach new levels. Until then, apparently Weber is looking for investors and the project is a very expensive one.
