Nowadays everyone is starting thinking about electric cars and to be honest, there are a lot of options depending on what you are looking for. We will now present you the new Elio Motor P4, which is ultra light and funny-looking. It has a two-seat arrangement and easy to drive. The specialists are thinking about launching it next year, but so that you know, the model already has 6.000 reservations displayed on the home page of the manufacturer, so you have to move fast if you want to own one. The way it attracts customers is not just the very efficient running base idea, but the best thing about it is the starting price, which starts at $6.800.
The carmaker declared that it will be capable of reaching 84 mpg on the highway and 49 mpg in the city. Under the hood it hides a straight-three 0.9 liters engine capable of generating 55 horsepower. To transfer all the output to the wheels, the engineers have fitted a 5-speed transmission. The main question mark for the model refers to safety which is a big concern at the moment, for the ones that bought it. Elio is not that worried and they are even expecting to receive a maximum rating when it goes through testing. The specialists will carry a lot of tests and regarding the ones that have been done until now, regarding overlap crash situations, seem to have had really good results.
As you might realize by just reading its name, the Elio P4 is the fourth prototype the carmaker develops, to date and as you can see it is, by far the best looking one. To be more precise, the model even has almost a proper interior. Of course, there are a lot of other things that can be done like the Honda gauges need to be replaced by liquid crystals or diodes, but the specialists have a lot of time left to do everything and launch their best achievement so far.
