Not long ago, the Huet Brothers, Netherlands-based custom carmaker had introduced for the first time the new HB Coupe. Now, the specialists offered clear information. Both the HB Coupe Road Runner and the HB Coupe will be produced in a two year time. The ones interested should know that orders start now. Anyway, since February, the carmaker offered some modifications to the HB Coupe. At the beginning, under the hood it had a 3.0-liter inline six, but now the models will receive power from a 2.0-liter inline four capable of generating 170 horsepower. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than five seconds.
The bad news refers to the price. Even if it is not a real surprise for a low-production, high-performance coupe, the carmaker established a starting price of EUR 67.800. The customers interested in receiving more power, the Huet Brothers also offer as an option the more powerful Cosworth version of the engine. In the end, the model is capable of developing 255 horsepower. This new output enables the models to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than four seconds. Of course, the price also increases to EUR 78.500. This price is available for both the HB Coupe and the HB Road Racer. The only difference between them refers to driving dynamics and styling.
To send the power to the rear wheels, the carmaker fitted a 6-speed manual transmission, limited slip differential. The specialists will only build 40 units of the Huet Brothers HB Coupe in 2014. The carmaker wants to offer them on the North American and Canadian markets as well. Here exists a waiting list, but the carmaker is not shore if it can deliver the cars. We will probably know at a later date.
