“Korea Can Do” it again with the redesigned SsangYong Korando. This sport utility vehicle built by the South Korean automobile manufacturer SsangYong Motor has just had a “surgery” on its look and it was presented as a 2014 year model. The Korando has already received a facelift a year ago. However this does not seem to be enough for the Korean company so here we are facing again another change. The Europeans and Asians will be the first to see the modifications this spring when the model is going to be launched on the market.
The 2014 SsangYong Korando has just been awarded with The Caravan Club Towcar of the Year Award 2014 for vehicles under £16,000. The vehicle is characterized by a black mesh radiator grille, more contemporary headlights and a wider, low level air intake. The new headlights have projection lamps and LED DRLs for better visibility and safety, surrounded by a stylish black and aluminum bezel. Remaining in the illumination area, the ELX4 model will be equipped with neat round fog lamps placed discreetly within the lower bumper. The client can choose from either 16” or 17” alloy wheels. The car will also be available in Sunrise red, Cosmic blue and Carbonic grey as well as Space black, Grand white and Silent silver paint schemes.
Moving on the inside of the 2014 SsangYong Korando you will feel a comfortable and relaxing environment for all the passengers, including the driver. The dashboard is made from soft-touch materials that offer an increased sense of luxury, some natural matt wood grain insets, and abundant storage space that includes bigger cup holders, a mobile phone tray and flip-down sunglasses tray. The vehicle is equipped with ESP, ABS, HAS, ARP and all these modern systems transform it into a more easily driven car. The vehicle will arrive in dealerships in the spring of 2014 and its price varies between £12,333 and £17,471, excluding taxes.
