Subaru Legacy Concept

Subaru will present the next gen of the Legacy revised as a new concept during the soon to come Los Angeles Auto Show (press days: 20 and 21st of November, public days: 22nd of November- 1st of December). The concept embodies Legacy`s next design direction and it will be revealed during a press briefing on the 20th of November at the Subaru Booth.

In 2014 the Legacy will celebrate its 25th anniversary. The company decided that it`s time for a change which will keep on maintaining Subaru`s main trait of `driving enjoyment and peace of mind` as well as the same solid and dynamic styling cues that we are already used with.

The exterior comes with a redesigned hexagonal front grille inspired from the Viziv concept and revised headlights.  The large lower grille on front fascia features chrome accents and the vehicle is equipped with two vertical vents on the front fascia. The Legacy concept maintains a generous cabin volume for a comfortable ride, the auto`s roofline featuring a glass roof and flowing side window to create the impression of an even larger cabin. One of the new concept`s key styling features is offered by the large tires combined with the powerful fender. The rear features C- shaped taillights, aluminum silver garnishes and a diffuser set to offer `a quality feel` to the design.

Although interior images were not yet released, Subaru informs that it was designed for `high functionality`. The auto features brown leather upholstery, a three- spoke steering wheel together with and angled shifter for sportier driving experience. The center of the instrument panel features a multi-function screen which can be operated by a tablet or a smartphone. The Legacy concept can carry four passengers in its roomy cabin. For a safer drive, the car features the `EyeSight`- Subaru`s driving assist system.

The Legacy concept measures 4930 mm in length, 1500 mm in height and 1940 mm in width having a 2880 mm wheelbase. The car rides on 21 inch alloy wheels with 265/40 ZR21 tires. Details concerning the vehicles engine or its performances were not yet made public, but the company informed that they will maintain the symmetrical all-wheel driving system for the Legacy concept.

More details will be known soon, once the vehicle will be introduced on the 20th of November in Los Angeles.
