Tata Motors Limited is the largest automobile company in India. It is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer. The company’s mission is to be passionate in anticipating and providing the best vehicles and experiences that excite their customers globally. Tata Motors has not long ago introduced, what they call, the most affordable car in the world named the Tata Nano. And now, they come up with the Tata Nano CNG emax.
The Tata Nano CNG emax is a very economical vehicle. It is powered by a fuel efficient engine with CNG and Petrol bi-fuel system options. The CO2 emissions are only 75.6 g/km. The combined fuel consumption is 36 km/kg, and this figure offers it a top rank in the top of the most efficient cars. It can be very well considered an eco-friendly vehicle and it is equipped with a sequential gas injection system which is thoroughly calibrated with an intelligent advanced Engine Management System (EMS). This option enables an easy shift from CNG to Gasoline fuel system and it can automatically switch to gasoline mode.
The Tata Nano CNG emax has a unique characteristic. It can be started directly on CNG mode, this being impossible with other CNG powered vehicles. The small car features air conditioning, turning radius, passenger space and comfort, leak detection sensors and interlock sensor. These last two options automatically make sure that the engine is switched off while CNG gas filling the vehicle. The CNG is enough for more than 150 km. The 2014 Tata Nano is priced from 1.50 lakhs ($2,555 / €1,905 / £1,630) so it is very likely that the emax version will add some more money to the sum.
