Tata Motors Limited is the largest automobile company in India. It is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer. However, their small cars are not so famous outside Asia so it’s a kind of a surprise to hear about a tuning done on the Tata Super Nano. Responsible for this tuning program is JA Motorsport. Let’s see what they have done.
The Tata Super Nano is considered to be the cheapest car in the world. Despite this, JA Motorsport tried to offer it a new image on the market. The tuning specialists gave up on using the 38 bhp two-cylinder engine and decided to go for a larger four-cylinder 1.4-liter one. This is how the small car now generates 230 bhp and 190 km/h.
The Tata Super Nano keeps featuring the rear-wheel drive layout. Now it has a full body kit, smoked headlights and taillights, AP Racing breaks, bolt-on roll cage and MRF ZLO racing slicks. Inside the small vehicle there's a set of Recaro seats, race-spec steering wheel with paddle shifters, carbon inserts on the dashboard. The tuner has taken out the back seats in order to reduce weight.
