Japanese carmaker Toyota will offer a new model for the North American market a bit later this month. We are actually talking about the 2014 model year version of the Tacoma compact pickup truck and the 4Runner SUV. The second one will receive a mild facelift which will bring a more interesting appearance in terms of the front together with LED tail. There are also some updates available for the exterior of the car and a new Optitron instrument panel and a multi-information display, together with newly available upholstery color and new materials for the inside. Moving on, we have the 4Runner which was also revised. It now comes with a 4.0-liter V6 unit capable of generating 270 horsepower. This output is being sent to the wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. There is a choice of a rear wheel 4x2, part time 4x4 or a full time multi-mode 4x4 with a locking center differential, which sounds really appealing.
Now, in terms of starting price the SR5 4x2 will start at $32.840, which does not include a $860 Delivery, Processing and Handling. The Limited 4x4 will have a starting price of $43.400. The Tacoma pickup truck continues the same for 2014 as well, with only few exceptions. When it comes to the exterior colors, the specialists have offered Silver Sky Metallic and Blue Ribbon Metallic and a SR appearance package is also available.
The list of new elements continues with a fresh selection of four Entune Audio and the backup camera has been moved from the rear-view mirror to the Entune head unit display. The price for the new Tacoma starts at $17.875 which excludes the $860 Delivery, Processing and Handling fee. For the moment, these are all the details offered for the moment.
