Toyota announced an updated Toyota Land Cruiser which will be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2014. As novelty elements, the new SUV brings mechanical changes designed to provide a better overall car drive as well as styling updates.

Although a lot of details regarding the specifications have not yet been revealed, it is known that the upgraded dashboard will come with a 4.2 inch display positioned in front of the driver. This way, drivers can monitor driving parameters such as tyre pressure, relevant off-roading information and traction control status.

The new Land Cruiser features wood grain and gloss black finishes for the interior trim, together with an aluminium finish on certain spots on the inside. Furthermore, the unit comes with a second seven inch  display located in the center of the new dashboard, designed to display information  on the car`s media and new leather and cloth seats.

As a downsize, the big engine together with the suspension components take up on the cockpit thus massively reducing the inside space. Also, the seats are not easy to fold flat which is something one will not have expected after seeing the very comfortable Land Rover Discovery seats.

The car can reach 62 mph in 10.2 seconds as the engine sill gets 188 bhp. This model will feature the same 3.0 liter four-cylinder engine that Land Cruiser initially used. However, this engine returns up to 34.8 mpg equivalent to 214g/ km of CO2. This rather low CO2 emission leads to keeping the taxes low when purchasing the new model.
