Time has come for us to meet the new model developed by Japanese carmaker Toyota. To be more precise, we are talking about the new 2014 Toyota Vios which has been introduced for the first time at the Bangkok Motor Show. The specialists have developed the car to appeal to first time car buyers and apparently the new Vios has familiar styling that reminds us of the Toyota Yaris and the Verso. As we can see in the photo gallery, the new entry-level model has a very smooth appearance, with no frills. Just like any other higher-end variants this new one is being highlighted thanks to the chrome trim and the 15- or 16-inch alloy wheels used to transfer the output to the road.
In terms of dimensions, the new Toyota Vios has 4.410 mm in length, 1.700 mm in width and 1.475 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2.550 mm, which is quite impressive. The carmaker developed the car that it is being aimed at the lower end of the market, but even so, if we take a look inside we can see a very stylish cabin with nice, high quality materials. In terms of highlights we also have to mention attractive gauges, metallic accents and also a four-speaker audio system that includes MP3 / USB / AUX connectivity.
Under the hood it hides a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 109 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. To send the output to the wheels, the engineers have equipped the new Japanese model with a 5-speed manual transmission offered as standard. The higher-end variants on the other hand, will come equipped with a 4-speed automatic unit. According to the manufacturer, the Vios will be built in Thailand and will be available for purchase in more than 80 countries.
