Vauxhall Astra GTC

Vauxhall is a major UK manufacturer and a great employer having around 35,000 people who work directly or indirectly through the company activities. There are a lot of manufacturing places in Great Britain. The Luton plant produces 67,000 units a year in two shifts, with the potential for as much as 100,000 units a year in three shifts. The Ellesmere Port plant has a capacity of 187,000 units a year in three shifts. In one of these sites, the 2014 Vauxhall Astra GTC will receive more power.

The 2014 Vauxhall Astra GTC borrowed the 1.6-liter ECOTEC Direct Injection Turbo engine from the Cascada Turbo. The engine produces 200 HP (147 kW) and a maximum torque of 300 Nm (221 lb-ft). This way the vehicle can do the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 7.3 seconds and it can reach a peak speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). The engine is not only more powerful, but it is also more fuel efficient. The coupe returns 51 mpg UK (42.4 mpg US or 5.5 liters / 100 km) in the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 154 g/km.

The more powerful version of the 2014 Vauxhall Astra GTC is equipped with an updated IntelliLink infotainment system priced at 855 GBP which has a high-resolution seven-inch touchscreen display and features voice control, satellite navigation, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity. It also has Europe-wide street level mapping and can be easily updated through USB. The pricing for the vehicle begins at 20,995 GBP.
