Volkswagen Golf R

Germans from Volkswagen are doing a good job as even from the beginning of this year they have released a lot of new models. Here we have to mention the Golf GTI, the Golf GTD, Golf Estate and Golf TDI BlueMotion. Under the hood there is a TSI engine capable of generating 300 PS, which means it is 30PS stronger, but at the same time 18% more fuel efficient in comparison to the previous model.

Another thing is that the new model also transfers its turbocharged engine power to the road via a permanent all-wheel drive system. There are also other optional elements that include the DCC dynamic chassis control system with driving profile selector that comes with a new Race mode. To transfer the output to the wheels, the engineers have offered a manual transmission. Thanks to the output, the model is now capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The models equipped with an automatic dual clutch gearbox, reach 100 km/h in 4.9seconds. It can reach an electronically limited speed of 250 km/h.

The new VW Golf R is equipped with a Stop-Start system and battery regeneration, together with the optional 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The engineers have fitted the model with specially designed bumpers, side sills and 18-inch alloy wheels to transfer the output to the road. The turbocharged direct petrol injection engines all have innovative detailed solutions such as water-cooled exhaust gas channels through the cylinder head to the turbocharger and a dual injection system with direct injection and multi-port injection. The Golf R has a sport suspension setup that is individually tuned to the 300PS all-wheel drive car. The multi-link rear suspension of the all-wheel drive Golf R was enhanced in different areas. Along with dynamic performance, suspension comfort was perfected compared to the previous model. These are all the details available for the moment on the matter.
