Volkswagen is for sure one of the most important car manufacturers in Germany and in the entire world. And it is quite a busy company, always developing all kinds of new projects. Volkswagen is known to target a large variety of people, especially those with medium incomes. The prices of the VW cars are not very high comparing to those manufactured by other brands. Maybe this is one of the reasons why it has become a global movement and among the brand’s most faithful markets is the U.S. market. And this is exactly where the new Volkswagen Jetta GLI Edition 30 will go.
The Volkswagen Jetta GLI Edition 30 is a way of celebrating 30 years of existence in the U.S.A. It sits on 18-inch Laguna-style alloy wheels and features a trunk-mounted spoiler and special badging. The model will be available only in Deep Black Metallic, Pure White, Tornado Red and Reflex Silver Metallic. The inside is coloured with red accents and contrasting stitching and has leather seats, a leather covered steering wheel, a modern infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and SiriusXM satellite radio. What doesn’t miss from the package are bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, a rearview camera and GPS navigation.
The Volkswagen Jetta GLI Edition 30 is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine that develops 210 bhp (156 kW) and 207 lb-ft (280 Nm) of torque. It can be linked either to a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission. 2014 will be the anniversary of Volkswagen U.S. and the year when the special edition will be released on the market. More details will be offered closer to launch.
