That Volkswagen is a top rated brand is already a fact. It is one of the most famous names in the auto industry and, as its name suggests, it is a car for everyone. Maybe this is possible to the great variety of vehicles it produces, from SUVs to sedans or convertibles. Lately it has been a rather busy company, developing all kinds of new projects. Such a project is the facelift Volkswagen Polo GTI.
The facelift Volkswagen Polo GTI has been revealed in September and the vehicle can already be ordered in Germany. The rest of Europe will receive the vehicle starting next February. The hatchback is powered by a new 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, outputting 192 PS (141 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox to the front wheels. The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) distance is made in 6.7 seconds and the maximum speed reaches 236 km/h (148 mph).
The facelift Volkswagen Polo GTI is equipped with electronically adjustable dampers, which form the core technology basis of the optional Sport Select suspension. The vehicle needs 5.6 l/100 km (50 mpg) in combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 129 g/km when equipped with the 7-speed DSG and 6.0 l/100 km (47 mpg) with 139 g/km of CO2 with the 6-speed manual variant. The Polo GTI will surely make a nice figure on the European market.
