Volkswagen is a trustful company capable of producing any kind of automobiles. The SUVs, hatchbacks, CUVs, sedans built under the brand’s name are all successful vehicles. When it comes to help people carry bigger objects from one place to another, Volkswagen is there to help again with its Transporter model. The van has been marketed worldwide for over 60 years and successfully accomplished its tasks. In order to celebrate 60 years of existence in UK, the German group has just introduced a special edition of the Volkswagen Transporter.
The anniversary edition of the Volkswagen Transporter is available in short and long wheelbase versions, as a Kombi or panel van. The van rides on a set of 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with an anthracite finish. It also wears glossy black door mirror covers, black steel side bars, special decals as well as front and rear parking sensors. The options also include electronically adjustable and heated door mirrors, remote central locking, ABS, climate control and electric windows.
On the inside, the Volkswagen Transporter features a Kenwood satellite navigation system with smartphone mirroring functionality and support for Bluetooth and DAB radio. The manufacturer set quilted and embossed leather upholstery and a stereo with CD player. The customer can also chose between Reflex Silver or Deep Black colour schemes. For some extra money the Transporter Sportline 60 can even be distinguished by a Candy White finish with a Deep Black roof.
Moving on to the energy source, the Volkswagen Transporter 60 anniversary edition is powered exclusively by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter BiTDI engine outputting 180 PS (132 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) provided for the wheels through a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG. Pricing depends, of course, by the options. We have 29,940 GBP for the short wheelbase 6-speed manual model and 34,170 GBP for the long wheelbase 7-speed DSG and both prices don’t include VAT.
