Volkswagen Transporter T5 by ABT

ABT is a German tuning company which not only makes good things better, but more than that, it makes them unique. They focus on refining vehicles by adding every necessary thing to create sporty or luxurious products, depending on the request. And since Germany is an impressive provider of great cars, we can say that the staff at ABT has where to choose whatever they please. And that’s how they chose the Volkswagen Transporter T5 as basis for their new project.

It is not ever day that we bump into a tuned van, but then again ABT is no ordinary company when it comes to creating interesting upgrading programs. So it is not that much of a surprise the fact that they have chosen to work on the Volkswagen Transporter 5. First, the tuner has done some tricks on the engine so that now the 2.0 liter TDI generates 200HP (147 kW) and 440Nm (326 lb-ft) of torque. The 2.0 liter TSI can produce 240HP (176 kW), which is an increase of 36HP over the factory power. ABT can also offer extra power to the less powerful variants like the TDI with 84HP, 102HP and 140HP.

ABT Sportsline equipped the Volkswagen Transporter T5 with special suspension springs that lower the ride height or an entire sport-type suspension. On the inside, the T5 got updated front and rear skirt, rear spoiler, side skirts, front grille and daytime running lights that are available for both the long and short wheelbase. All parts are made from PUR-RIM material guaranteeing perfect quality. Take a look at the project which is quite a nice one.
