Volvo designs and sells products and services that aim at high quality, safety and environmental care. Founded more than 80 years ago, a solid position and reputation worldwide has been built up step by step in time. Volvo’s Polestar division whose goal is to obtain as good as possible performance vehicles has just announced that they will introduce the Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar in the U.S.
The two vehicles, the Volvo S60 and V60, are currently being showcased at the Chicago Auto Show. Both feature an aerodynamic body kit, a stainless steel sports exhaust system and ride on an exclusive set of 20 inch alloy wheels. The cars are also equipped with Brembo brakes and a sport-tuned suspension with stiffer springs and Öhlins shock absorbers.
The two Volvo models are powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that develops 345 bhp (257 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. It is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system which allows them to sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and to reach an electronically-limited maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The S60 and V60 Polestar will enter the market in June and a limited number of 120 units will reach United States.
