Volvo carmaker has revealed some more details in terms of pricing for the 2014 model year US lineup. The models included in this category are the S60, S80, XC60, XC70 and last, but not least, the XC90. The new models all come with new design elements, adaptive digital TFT display, new safety features, even with cyclist detection. The 2014 models arrive with engines like the T5 capable of generating 250 horsepower, the 3.2-liter, naturally aspirated 6-cylinder with 240 horsepower output and the turbocharged T6 that has as output 300 horsepower. We have to say that the most powerful engine offered by Volvo is the 3.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of producing 325 horsepower and 354 lb. ft. of torque.
The S60 has been redesigned and now has a wider grille, horizontally mounted LED daytime running lights. At the rear, new LED light guides on the taillights and new integrated exhaust pipes contribute to the more powerful road presence. The starting price has been established at $32.400 for the front drive T5, while the T6 AWD will start at $39.250. The new sport package includes sport seats, paddle shifters, 18-inch titanium alloy wheels and dynamic chassis offered as standard on the T6 AWD. This comes as optional on the T5. The price for the S60 T6 R-Design has been established by the manufacturer to start at $42.700.
The S80 comes with a new front fascia incorporating a new grille design with grille pattern. New LED daytime running lights are positioned at the outer edge of the intake while the headlights also receive a new look. The optional package offered features Sovereign Hide soft leather, ventilated front seats and branded interior touches. As mentioned above, the key safety elements that debut on the 2014 models year lineup include Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection with full auto brake and Cross Traffic Alert.
